There are many providers of the Lifeline free phone program. How does it work? Basically if you qualify and get approved, you could score a free Android phone with free minutes, unlimited texting and free data.
FreedomPop is a similar #freephone provider. Although they are not a Lifeline affiliated company; they do provide #FREE phones with #FREE service. You usually pay for shipping and or an activation fee. But the phone and service are both free.
How much is activation fee? It runs anywhere from $35 to $49.
BYOD – You can also alternatively (Bring Your Own Device) and just use the FreedomPop service. With this offer, you’re buying a SIM card (free, just pay for shipping) and enabling FreedomPop service on your existing phone.
